Building User Interfaces with VisualAge
Course Description
This course provides a solid working knowledge of IBM VisualAges
user interface development and configuration management features.
Participants design and create visual and non-visual user interface
parts with VisualAge editors and tools. Participants use ENVY, VisualAges
built-in configuration management system, to organize and distribute
their work. The course format is 50% lecture and 50% hands-on computer
time. This class is offered in both Smalltalk or Java versions.
Audience
Developers who will be creating screens, windows, and other user
interface views and components
Prerequisites
- Familiarity with personal computers and basic mouse skills
- Exposure to basic windowing systems (Windows 95, 98 or NT)
- Knowledge of fundamental user interface principles helpful
